Biography
The Circlesouth was born in the fall of 2000. The attempt was to combine the typical sound of an indie-rock's line-up with infuences and characteristic contaminations of electronic instruments. This project comes from the idea of five young guys coming from the small but musically prolific city of Pordenone, in the north-east of Italy. The two years's work is collected in their nine tracks-debut album, Remind Nothing, on Disasters By Choice. Forty minutes of selected romantic melodies, psychedelic suites, effected guitars, noisy samples, but also percussive drum and basses, obsessive guitar riffs, soft electric pianos, sequencers and piano and voice duets. Guest star in this debut is Amaury Cambuzat, leader of the french-italian band Ulan Bator, who lends his voice and a poetic lyric to the song Le Couler. Nine tracks in which different attitudes are mixed up, creating an elegant and personal sound. learnig, not just imitating, from bands like Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Air.
